April 1st, 2005 was the best day of my life. I purchased a Bernese Mountain Dog, her name is NEKO. My main goal was to keep her healthy and in my life for as long as possible. The only way to do that is to feed her high quality foods and treats. This is a great idea, until you notice after reading labels that nothing is “healthy”. Food is the main source to getting the quality of vitamins and minerals the body needs. This is true both in humans and pets. So why did most things have everything but??? How healthy could that be??

As time passed, I noticed my dog was not well. I got “the best” so I thought. At eight months my dog was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and food allergies. It broke my heart to see her suffering. Within those eight months my dog had visited the veterinarian many times and was on a prescription diet and never got better. After many tests and lots of money spent, an internal veterinarian recommended “Wellness Simple Solutions”. This is a more strict diet that Wellness has to offer, as well as its other variety of foods. The one Neko was put on has very limited ingredients and is very healthy. Now, NEKO”S diet was even more restricted, this meant food, treats and places where I could find anything to feed her. If a store had it, I had to drive far then there was an issue because it wasn’t always in stock. Then what??

As you can imagine or have experienced, this is very frustrating. My thoughts were, I must not be alone. Being very familiar with alternative means of helping illness and to NEKO’S unfortunate suffering; Healthy Dog Pet Co was born. Since March 15th, 2006 Healthy Dog Pet Co. has been providing dogs and cats with the highest quality of Holistic, Natural foods, treats, chews and much more to maintain good health and happiness to many pets. It brings me joy to see the enthusiasm and PAW-SI-TIVE results from my customers, both humans and animals.
